⚠️ PlayCalcutta is a contest-management tool for entertainment purposes. It does not process payments, hold funds, or facilitate gambling. Users are solely responsible for ensuring their use complies with applicable laws.
By using PlayCalcutta ("the app," "the service"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app. We may update these Terms at any time — continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
PlayCalcutta provides tools to organize and run Calcutta-style auction contests for sports events. Specifically:
The app does not collect, hold, transfer, or distribute any money. Settlement between participants is entirely outside the app and entirely the users' responsibility.
You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes. You are responsible for:
PlayCalcutta does not facilitate gambling as defined under U.S. federal law or any state law. The app provides software tools only. Any wagering that occurs between users happens outside this platform and is not sanctioned, facilitated, or processed by PlayCalcutta or its operators.
If your jurisdiction restricts informal wagering contests, it is your responsibility to understand and comply with those restrictions before using this app.
Contest access is controlled by a code and admin password that you set at creation. We don't store your plaintext password. If you lose your admin password, we cannot recover it for you. Keep it somewhere safe.
The PlayCalcutta name, logo, and app code are owned by the operators of this service. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from the app without written permission.
Content you enter into a contest (names, bids, etc.) remains yours. By submitting it, you grant us a limited license to store and display it to contest participants.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time. Use it at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PlayCalcutta and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including lost money, data, or opportunities — even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the app shall not exceed $0, as the app is provided free of charge.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the service at any time, for any reason, without notice. We may also delete inactive contests without prior warning.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Georgia.
